Charges have been laid against a Seven Sisters Falls man after a cat was found badly abused on the side of the road.
Lac du Bonnet RCMP found the cat on March 9 in grave condition, but still alive. Police say the cat was trapped, shot with a pellet gun and left at the roadside. The animal was taken to the local veterinarian and is now back at home with its owner.
On Thursday, a 66-year-old man was arrested and charged with cruelty to an animal. He was released on a promise to appear in Beausejour court on May 7.
