Three levels of government are chipping in to make improvements to the Glenwood Community Centre Arena.
Phase two of the Building Communities Initiative II (BCI II) will fund $280,000 to sandblast and repair beams, install new insulation and cladding, make repairs to interior wall repairs and painting, and install a new heating and dehumidification system.
Funds for the remainder of the $523,000 project are coming from a loan secured by the centre, as well as from an additional $103,226 from the federal government.
“Upgrading the Glenwood facility benefits the whole neighbourhood and the improvements will enhance the recreation options for families and local residents of all ages,” said Local Government Minister Ron Lemieux. “The province is pleased to continue its support for these important infrastructure projects that help re-energize communities.”
