Winnipeg has ranked fifth for livability in a new list put out by MoneySense magazine.
The annual Best Places to Live rankings found Winnipeg to be the fifth most desirable place to settle down among large Canadian cities. Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton and London took the first four places, respectively.
Winnipeg also ranked 12th in the Best Places to Raise Kids category, and 10th for the Best Place to Retire.
“This year, with the addition of the separate rankings in categories for small, medium and large cities, MoneySense is able to provide Canadians with even more comparative information they can use to make a smart decision about where to live, raise children and retire,” said MoneySense editor Jonathan Chevreau.
