New Political Arts Festival Coming to the City

March 20, 2013 8:29 AM | Entertainment

SpurCanada’s first national festival of politics, art and ideas will travel through Winnipeg as part of a three-city debut.

Spur will launch in Toronto next month with an eclectic mix of events, debates, musical performances, panels, walking tours and more. The festival will stop in Winnipeg April 26-28 before continuing west on to Vancouver in June.

The national festival is themed for each market and invites Canadians to have fun with some of today’s most provocative writers, journalists, entrepreneurs, activists and politicians.

Spur Winnipeg’s focus will be on “Unnatural History: The Past, Present and Future of our Human-Made World.”

Tickets are available online or by phone. For complete information, including a guide of events, visit SpurFestival.ca/Winnipeg.

Spur is produced by Diaspora Dialogues and the Literary Review of Canada, and presented by the Ideas Institute.
