The Forks will be turned into a fool’s haven this weekend as the 13th annual Festival of Fools kicks off.

Running from Saturday, March 23 to Sunday, March 31, crafts, clowns, face painting and other activities will help kids on spring break to pass the time.

“Every year the Festival of Fools brings a burst of energy and fun into the market that can be felt throughout the whole site,” said Paul Jordan, chief operating officer of The Forks. “It’s a great family event that we’re happy to continue to host.”

The free nine-day festival will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The Festival of Fools is a presented by Scotiabank and put on by the Winnipeg International Children’s Festival.
