An afternoon of fun involving a five-year-old quarter horse gelding will raise funds for child health in Manitoba on Saturday.
The Fellowship of Christian Cowboys’ Manitoba chapter have launched Hoof Beats of HOPE, a fundraiser supporting the Children’s Hospital Foundation. Members of the group have been looking after the training and care of Regalo (Spanish for ‘Gift Horse’), who will be auctioned off this spring with 100% of the sale going directly to the foundation.
On Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Cowboys will host a fundraiser at the Miracle Ranch with an exciting skills demonstration, showing off the horse’s well-mannered nature and wide range of skills. The event will also feature local media personalities in a cowboy/cowgirl competition, and family activities such as face painting, dummy roping, pony rides, and a marshmallow roast.
Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
