Police Bust $1.6M Grow-Op in Lindenwoods

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo people have been charged after Winnipeg police raided a marijuana grow-op in Lindenwoods on Thursday.

A search warrant executed in the 100 block of Castlebury Court turned up 1,360 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $1,523,200.

Police also seized grow-op equipment, Canadian currency, and 18 lbs of packaged marijuana for an additional $71,150.

A 41-year-old woman and 55-year-old man face numerous drug-related offences.

Both were released on a promise to appear.

This is the second million-dollar grow-op to be raided in Lindenwoods since January.
