Volunteers are being sought by the Assiniboine Park Conservancy for the upcoming spring and summer season.

About 150 spots will need to be filled for park and zoo duties, including goodwill ambassadors, zoo tram tour guides, DOMO Double Decker tour guides, children’s program assistants, adult hobby program assistants, summer day camp assistants, and special events assistants.

“The opening of the Tundra Grill & Polar Playground — plus the arrival of Hudson the polar bear, the Zoo Tram and the DOMO Double Decker bus — have created more opportunities than ever,” zoo officials said.

A volunteer recruitment fair will take place on Wednesday, April 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Acorn Activity Room of the Qualico Family Centre located beside the Riley Family Duck Pond. Anyone aged 16 and over can apply.
