A new spring session will begin on April 2 for women wanting to learn how to play hockey.

Canlan Ice Sports is gearing up for a 12-week “ladies only” session for women to learn the basics of Canada’s favourite pastime.

“Our first session proved very popular, and there were lots of women who wanted to continue, so we decided to run another one,” said Bryan Vincent of Canlan Ice Sports.

“The spring session is open to women of any skill level, from beginners right up to more experienced. It’s an hour of focused instruction and practice per week on the ice, and good training for everyone.”

The one hour course will run Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1871 Ellice Avenue. Registration is $225 and full hockey equipment is mandatory.

Those wanting to sign up can call (204) 784-8888 ext. 223 or e-mail tstewart@icesports.com.
