Man Killed on Bloodvein First Nation

RCMP Crest LogoRCMP are investigating after the death of a man on the Bloodvein First Nation.

Police were called on Sunday shortly after 5 p.m. to a disturbance at a house party when the victim was located. The injured male was taken to the local nursing station where he later died.

The death is being treated as a homicide and a woman has been arrested, but not yet charged.

The suspect and victim are both residents of the community and known to each other.

UPDATE: Tuesday, April 2Allyson Boulanger, 29, of Bloodvein First Nation has been charged with second-degree murder. She remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Winnipeg court on April 3. The 31-year-old victim, who isn’t being identified, suffered a stab wound.
