The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed right-handed pitcher Patrick Keating and left-handed pitcher Allen Caldwell for the 2013 season.
Keating, 25, has played his first four professional seasons in the Kansas City Royals and served as the team’s closer at every level he played.
Caldwell, 25, also played four seasons in the Royals organization, but missed all of last season with a shoulder injury. He posted a great season in 2011 with Single-A Kane County of the Midwest League and Advanced-A Wilmington of the Carolina League.
The Goldeyes now have 21 players signed for the 2013 season, including 13 pitchers and eight position players.
