The Klinic Community Health Centre is receiving $1.2 million in annual funding from the provincial government.

The non-profit organization located on Portage Avenue provides comprehensive health and community services in partnership with the province, community members and other care providers.

The funding will cover medical care, counselling and education, with a focus on issues such as alcohol and drugs, addictions and gambling, counselling for individuals and families, children and youth-focused workshops and seminars, public education and training, and social supports.

“Our government’s continued support of Klinic will help individuals of all ages, including children and youth, to realize their potential and achieve their personal goals,” said Children and Youth Opportunities Minister Kevin Chief. “It is an investment that continues to show we’re focused on the priorities of Manitobans.”
