Career-seeking Manitoba youth and adults will get to meet with potential future employers at the upcoming Rotary Career Symposium.
The two floors of the Winnipeg Convention Centre will host the event April 9-10, providing vital information on education and employment options available in Manitoba, Canada and around the world.
Coordinated by the Rotary Clubs of Winnipeg, this year’s event will feature over 227 exhibitor booths and 70 speaker sessions including Manitoba’s leading industries, employers, post-secondary and trade associations.
A Career Café, open April 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. will connect participants with community employment service experts who will provide information on career exploration, essential skills for the workplace, resume writing, interview skills, training and the job market.
Over 14,000 people attend the symposium each year and similar attendance is expected once again this year.
The symposium is open to the public. Admission is $3.
