Baseball fans van vote for the Winnipeg Goldeyes 20th Anniversary Team beginning today.
The team will consist of one catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop, designated hitter and closer, two utility players, three outfielders and five starting pitchers and relief pitchers.
Voting will be dona via Goldeyes.com and one ballot per day can be cast.
“This is a great way to begin our 20th anniversary season and give our fans the opportunity to be part of the process,” said Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier. “It has been 19 great years of Goldeyes baseball. We are proud of our history and the many players that have suited up for the organization. Our fans will once again be able to salute their favourite players by voting for them each day.”
The team will be announced in August. Voting closes June 2.
