Runaway Cadillac No Match for Police Chopper

Winnipeg Police CrestA speeding red Cadillac couldn’t outrun Air 1 early Tuesday morning after Winnipeg police were about to pull the vehicle over.

At about 2:20 a.m., officers picked up on a traffic violation in the area of Salter Street near Boyd Avenue. The Cadillac quickly took off, sending police on a chase through the area.

Air 1 was called in and spotted the suspects on foot after the vehicle stopped in the 100 block of Inksbrook Drive. With the help of the K-9 team and patrol units, five people were taken into custody.

A 40-year-old man has been charged with flight from police and driving while disqualified.

Kendra Sinclair, 23, has been charged with public mischief, while Cameron Bonham, 36, faces drug-related charges.

Two other people who were arrested aren’t facing charges at this time.
