Cindy Klassen
Olympic speed skater Cindy Klassen and her sister, Lisa, will speak at a fundraiser breakfast on Saturday, April 13.
Held at Fort Gibralter in St. Boniface and benefitting the Caring for the Spirit program, the sisters will speak at the Aulneau Renewal Centre event about how their faith has defined them and their life’s journey.
The Aulneau Renewal Centre works with individuals and families to develop a therapeutic approach that meets their specific needs and circumstances through counselling, education, support and guidance.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by calling (204) 987-7090. The breakfast begins at 9:30 a.m.
Cindy is a Winnipeg native and a six-time Olympic medallist at the Winter Olympics. Lisa made headlines herself in 2008 when her Jeep went off a ramp-like snowbank on a North Perimeter Highway bridge and plunged to the ground 20 metres below. Klassen awoke days later with no recollection of the accident and has since recovered.
