Winnipeg police and other emergency personnel will dine with North End community members today in the 17th Annual Spring Feast.
The Indian and Metis Friendship Centre on Robinson Street will host the feast beginning at noon, as police officers, with the help of RB Russell culinary staff, prepare beef stew and serve it with bannock. In the past years, officers have served upwards of 650 community members during the event.
Joining Winnipeg police will be WPS Cadets, CP, CN, RCMP and Treaty Three police officers.
Performers from the area schools and aboriginal community will provide entertainment.
