University of Winnipeg graduate student Phillip Grayson has been accepted to the prestigious Harvard University.

The Bioscience, Technology and Public Policy student was awarded a full grant to the Ivy League school to pursue his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

“UWinnipeg’s faculty and staff are very supportive and the researchers are at the top of their respective fields,” Grayson said. “I’m very happy with the opportunities provided to me as both an undergraduate and graduate student, as they have laid the foundation for my academic success and led to peer-reviewed publication of my research at both levels.”

Grayson earned his Bachelor of Science Honours (biology) in 2011 from UWinnipeg, earning the Gold Medal.

Concurrent to his Harvard acceptance, he declined a Syracuse University Graduate Fellowship and a University of California, Berkeley Fellowship.
