Manitoba Métis Federation president David Chartrand (CHRISD.CA FILE)
The president of the Manitoba Métis Federation will deliver the keynote address at a Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Thursday.
David Chartrand will speak to members of the city’s business community at Metropolitan Entertainment Centre at 12:45 p.m.
Chartrand was elected to the Manitoba Métis Federation Board of Directors in 1988 and was re-elected four successive times as a regional board member. He was appointed acting president in 1996 and, in 1997, was elected president.
The focus of Chartrand’s address will be on the recent Land Claims ruling for Manitoba.
