CAA Rounding Up Used Batteries, Tires and Oil

CAA ManitobaWant to get rid of used automotive batteries, tires and motor oil? CAA Manitoba will help with that.

On Saturday, CAA will be collecting all of those items as part of a pre-Earth Day round-up. Those who make a drop off at any of the following three Winnipeg service centres between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. will have their items recycled.

  • 870 Empress Street
  • 2211 McPhillips Street
  • 501 St. Anne’s Road

On Sunday, April 21, FortWhyte Alive (1961 McCreary Road) will act as a drop off location, however, no motor oil will be collected at that time.

Free on-site battery and eco tests will be performed at all locations during the round-up.

In 2012, CAA collected 126 vehicle batteries, 237 tires and 1917 litres oil.
