Last Year’s Poker For a Purpose Event at McPhilips Station Casino (NEVER ALONE FOUNDATION)

Ken Hildahl
A night of poker will remember and honour the late chairman of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers board of directors.
The fifth annual Poker For a Purpose Event will be in memory of Ken Hildahl, who passed away in 2011. Hildahl became involved with the Health Sciences Centre Foundation when his son, Jamie, was diagnosed with leukemia many years ago.
The swanky event on Thursday, May 9 at McPhillips Station Casino will provide an elegant backdrop for both veteran and rookie players as they enjoy an evening of fabulous food, entertainment, and a fun-filled evening of Texas Hold ‘em poker in support of the HSC Foundation and Never Alone Foundation.
“In our lifetime, we have occasion to be in the presence of true difference makers,” Lyle Bauer, co-chair of the Never Alone Foundation. “These are people who are committed to the betterment of the lives of others. Ken Hildahl was a difference maker. It is our intent and privilege to honour his memory and continue his legacy.”
Blue Bomber greats Dave Black and Milt Stegall, who will host the event, will also be in attendance.
