The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed left-handed pitcher Edgar Osuna for the 2013 season.
The 25-year-old played six professional seasons since signing with the Atlanta Braves at the age of 18, but missed the entire 2012 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
Osuna went 4-2 with a 3.31 ERA in 11 starts, and was selected by the Kansas City Royals from the Braves in the 2009 MLB Rule 5 draft and subsequently went 6-2 with a 2.95 ERA in 17 starts at Double-A Northwest Arkansas of the Texas League.
Osuna is also the first Mexican-born player to be signed by the Goldeyes in team history.
