Paul McCartney will perform in Winnipeg this summer for the first time in over 20 years.
The former Beatle will take the stage at Investors Group Field on Monday, August 12 as part of his “Out There” Tour. Promoters Live Nation officially made the announcement Monday at the stadium alongside officials with True North Sports and Entertainment and the Winnipeg Football Club.
Promoters are billing the show as a “major historical concert event,” which will accompany Taylor Swift’s concert at the stadium this summer.
Tickets for Sir Paul go on sale through Ticketmaster on Monday, April 29 at 10 a.m. for $35, $65, $95, $165 and $250.
Kevin Donnelly with True North said they expect to accomodate a seating capacity of between 33,000 and 35,000. Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers season ticket holders will have access to a ticket presale.
