Winnipeg police have revamped their CrimeStat website to enhance its functionality.
Police launched the site in 2007 to provide the public with statistical information relating to crime in the city.
The new site incorporates Google Maps and removes the limit for the amount of crime icons shown on a map for any given area.
“The system for filtering your searches has also been improved. You will be able to get a better snapshot of what is happening in your community or area of interest through the new area, date and crime type filters,” police said in a release.
Users can also search specifically for crime-related incidents in the “Downtown” area by searching the keyword.
