Los Angeles rockers Buckcherry will headline this summer’s MTS Super-Spike volleyball tournament.
Maple Grove Rugby Park is hosting the annual event, which runs July 19-20 and combines Western Canada’s largest outdoor/beach volleyball tournament with a weekend long concert series set in a festival atmosphere.
Buckcherry will headline the stage Saturday night and bring such hits as ‘Lit Up’, ‘Crazy B’, ‘Everything’, ‘Sorry’, ‘All Night Long,’ and new single ‘Gluttony’ from their sixth album, Confessions, released this past February.
Early bird weekend passes for non-tournament participants will be on-sale Friday, April 26 at 10 a.m. for $20 through SuperSpike.ca . After May 3, they will go up to $25.
Team registration is already open on the Super-Spike website for $45 per person through June 15.
Last year, more than 7,000 people visited Super-Spike where a record-setting 342 teams took part. To date, the event has raised over $500,000 in support of the National Women’s Volleyball Team.
