Winnipeg police have arrested 11 members of the Mad Cow street gang as part of Project Recall.
Police say the arrests have made a significant dent in the city’s drug trade. While no drugs were seized as part of the operation, police did seize two shotguns and approximately 80 rounds of ammunition.
Officers began making arrests on April 25 and executed warrants at residences located on Simcoe Street and Langside Street.
The 11 arrested range in age between 16 and 25. A warrant is still out for 18-year-old Terryl Izzard, who is wanted on four counts of cocaine trafficking.
Anyone with information on Izzard’s whereabouts is asked to call police at (204) 986-8430 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
