The Winnipeg Goldeyes will open up Shaw Park to fans on Saturday, May 4 during the team’s annual Open House.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a voucher for a free hot dog and soft drink. The team will take to the field at 11 a.m. for their first workout of the spring.
“This is a great event that we look forward to every year and we are excited to be launching our 20th season alongside our fans,” said Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier.
Both merchandise stores at Shaw Park will be open during the day. Fans in attendance can also win prize packs that will be given away during the day and participate in a tour of Shaw Park.
The Fish take to the field next week when they host the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for a pair of exhibition games on Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7 beginning at 7 p.m.
