Fishers and other outdoor enthusiasts will be able to sport their love for fishing with a custom trailer licence plate.
Manitoba Public Insurance and Fish Futures announced the plate on Thursday, featuring the non-profit organization’s logo.
Fish Futures Inc. is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and works to increase public awareness of the value of Manitoba’s freshwater fisheries.
The plates will be available in a first-run batch of 2,000 for $70 beginning May 9. From each plate sold, $30 will go to programs aimed at habitat preservation, development of research projects and public education.
There are about 2,500 members of Fish Futures in addition to nearly 200,000 Manitobans who are holders of fishing licences.
