Two people were killed Friday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash just north of Homewood, Manitoba.
The collision happened around 5 p.m. on Road 18 West in the RM of Dufferin when an eastbound pickup truck pulling a trailer collided with a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero travelling south.
RCMP say the 27-year-old woman from Beausejour who was driving the Alero was pronounced deceased at the scene, along with her seven-year-old son.
The 32-year-old area man driving the pickup was travelling with a male youth. Both were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The eastbound lanes at the intersection are reported to be controlled by a yield sign.
No names will be released and police continue to investigate.
