The City of Winnipeg’s water meter reading program will begin on Wednesday, May 8.
Meter readers will be wearing dark blue pants or shorts, a light blue striped shirt with the City of Winnipeg Water and Waste logo on it, will have photo identification and carry a hand-held computer, according to a city press release.
Water meter readers will be knocking on doors beginning at 2:30 p.m. weekdays until dusk. Residents are reminded to check photo I.D. before letting anyone into your home and that meter readers do not collect money.
