Police have busted a grow op in Winnipeg’s Daniel McIntyre neighbourhood.
Police said they raided a home in the 700 block of Toronto Street on Monday, May 5. There, they found 94 pot plants with a street value of more than $100,000, 44 grams of dry pot with a street value of $4,400, and a bunch of grow-op equipment.
A 47-year-old man is facing trafficking and production of a controlled substance charges.
On Tuesday, police said they stopped a car near Salter Street and Pritchard Avenue after they noticed it had inactive licence plates. Upon discovering the man inside had a suspended driver’s licence, they searched the car, a Nissan Maxima.
Inside, police said they found $13,000 worth of Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and several IDs that did not belong to him.
Jacquest Giradin, 37, faces numerous charges including drug trafficking, driving while uninsured and selling identity documents.
