After a juicy first year, the Winnipeg BBQ & Blues Festival is back and beefed up.
The festival will take over Red River Exhibition Park from August 16-18, and will feature bands like Wide Mouth Mason and David Wilcox along with a Pit Masters barbeque competition.
Rick Fenton, spokesperson for the festival, said more than 10,000 people attended last year’s event.
The Main Stage will also feature Ana Popovic, Monkeyjunk,The Sogourners, Golden State Lone Star Review, Righteous Ike, Brent Parkin and Big Dave McLean.
The Pit Masters Championship will happen all weekend with the winner taking away a $10,000 purse.
Tickets to the event go on sale on Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
