Police say a number of fires were reported Monday on the west side of St. Ambroise along Provincial Road 83 and 84 in the RM of Portage la Prairie.

The fires posed a risk to homes and structures around the community, according to police. No injuries were sustained as a result of the blazes.

The Office of the Fire Commissioner deemed that the fires were not accidental. Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP at (204) 857-4445 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
