Police Seek Mustang in Steinbach Hit and Run

RCMP Crest LogoSteinbach RCMP are looking for a newer model black Ford Mustang after hit and run Saturday night.

Police say around 11 p.m. a 2009 Kia was truck by the Mustang at the intersection of Brandt Street and Main Street in Steinbach.

The Mustang took off without exchanging particulars with the driver of the Kia or checking on the well-being of the occupants in the other vehicle.

The suspect vehicle likely sustained significant damage to the front end.

UPDATE: On May 19, a La Broquerie man turned him into police at the Steinbach RCMP detachment. He was charged with a number of Highway Traffic Act Offences, including driving with an invalid licence, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident. Additional charges may be pending.
