New Flyer Industries will produce up to 80 Xcelsior clean diesel 40-foot heavy-duty buses for Metro Transit of Halifax.
The Winnipeg-based bus manufacturer’s contract also contains a firm order of 22 40-foot clean diesel buses with options to purchase an additional 58 buses at a later date.
The order will begin production in the third quarter of 2013 with all buses expected to be delivered by the end of 2013.
