A new spray pad is in the works for families in the West Kildonan area to enjoy by early next summer.
The city and province are contributing a combined $400,000 for the project, located at the West Kildonan Memorial Community Centre wading pool on Perth Avenue.
“Families from the West Kildonan area will enjoy summer that much more when this much needed free recreational facility is built in the heart of their neighbourhood,” said Mayor Sam Katz. “This project provides a safe, healthy and fun outdoor play environment for our community’s youth.”
Design plans will be completed this summer with construction commencing in the fall.
