Winnipeg Harvest in Need of Food Donations

Winnipeg HarvestWinnipeg Harvest is in urgent need of food donations and has put out a public call for help.

The local food bank is requesting canned fish and poultry, such as tuna or salmon (packed in water), chicken and turkey, as well as canned fruit and vegetables.

Other items on its top 10 list are canned stew, chili, and brown beans, peanut butter, rice (converted or parboiled), canned spaghetti sauce or tomatoes, cereal (high fibre, non-sugar coated), canned soup (lentil, pea or vegetable), and baby food and infant formula.
