A new permanent seasonal exhibit featuring kangaroos and emus has opened at Assiniboine Park Zoo.
Australian Walkabout includes an expansive outdoor enclosure where visitors can enter and walk around with the 14 female red kangaroos plus their young, as well as four emus.
“This type of exhibit is something entirely new for the Assiniboine Park Zoo,” said Tim Sinclair-Smith, director of zoological operations . “It’s going to be a really fun experience for our visitors this summer and probably one that they’ve never had before.”
The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
