Winnipeg Goldeyes LogoThe Winnipeg Goldeyes have surpassed the 5,000,000 fan mark since the team’s formation in 1994.

Wednesday afternoon’s crowd at Shaw Park brought out 5,523 spectators to see the Fish take on the Laredo Lemurs, pushing the all-time attendance number to 5,001,365 fans.

“It’s truly astounding that we have surpassed 5 million fans,” Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier said. “It shows how supportive our fans are. We can’t thank them enough for helping building our franchise into what it is today.”

To celebrate, the first 5,000 fans who attend the June 11 game against the Wichita Wingnuts will receive a commemorative 5 millionth T-shirt.

The Goldeyes welcome the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks to town on Friday for the start of a three-game series.
