Steak-lovers will be salivating at the thought of a new hearty eatery opening up in the city.
Mr. Mike’s SteakhouseCasual plans to set up shop in Winnipeg next spring, promising a steakhouse that will appeal to anyone looking for a memorable yet casual dining experience.
The Vancouver-based chain first began operating in 1960 under the leadership of brothers Bob and Nick Constabaris.
“We are looking forward to introducing Mr. Mike’s SteakhouseCasual to Winnipeg and becoming part of the community,” said Mike Cordoba, partner at RAMMP Hospitality Brands Inc.
“Our intention is to be more than just a restaurant. The atmosphere is unpretentious and we encourage our guests to ‘come as you are’ and enjoy great food at great value.”
The restaurant’s menu includes its famous Mikeburger and its mouth-watering Canada AAA steaks. Other popular entrees will include fresh salads, locally-sourced seafood, flavoursome pastas and delicious rice bowls. Each location has its own UrbanLodge bar, featuring house brews and exclusive wines.
Mr. Mike’s SteakhouseCasual operates restaurants across British Columbia, Alberta, and a location in Yorkton, SK.
The expansion is the company’s first big push into Western Canada. A spokesperson for the restaurant said negotiations are underway at two possible Winnipeg sites.
