Manitoba Public InsuranceManitoba Public Insurance has launched a campaign to remind all who use our roadways to share the road.

MPI and the provincial government have launched a new comprehensive safety and educational campaign aimed at both drivers and bike riders to help reduce injuries and deaths in collisions between cyclists and vehicles.

“On average, three cyclists are killed and more than 250 are injured every year when bikes and cars collide,” said minister in charge of MPI Andrew Swan. “Enhancing the road safety relationship between cyclists and drivers is a positive step towards the ultimate goal of reducing collisions, fatalities and injuries.”

The campaign includes literature at bike shops and a plethora of information to be found at MPI’s website, as well as safety presentations at schools.
