Two young women from Winnipeg are dead after a crash on River Road near Highway 9 on Saturday.
Selkirk RCMP said they were called to the scene at about 5:30 a.m. on June 1 where they found a 2005 Buick that had rolled over and struck a utility pole. Both passengers in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 17-year-old girl from Winnipeg and the passenger, an 18-year-old passenger, have been identified. Their names will not be released, said RCMP.
Speed appears to be a factor in the crash. The investigation continues.
