Winnipeg police said they have made an arrest after a man was found in a back alley on the weekend.

Police said they found Kyle DeVasconcelos, 23, lying in an alleyway behind Dumoulin Street in St. Boniface on June 2 at about 9 a.m. Police said that Devasconcelos had earlier been at a party at a home in the 100 block of Notre Dame Avenue. There, he got into a fight with another man.

Both the victim and the suspect fled, but DeVasconcelos collapsed later and died.

Police have charged Jorden Fries, 23, with second degree murder.
