A new report to be presented at a committee meeting next week says the City needs to talk to talk to local residents about the future of Sherbrook Pool.

City administrators say the cost of re-opening and maintaining Sherbrook pool for the next 20 years is pegged at about $6.3 million.

The 81-year-old pool was closed down in November of 2012 when inspectors became concerned about the building’s structural integrity.

The public service recommends a request for proposals to have an independent third party conduct community consultations.
