Taylor Pischke of the University of Manitoba Bisons earned a bronze medal over the weekend at the 2013 FIVB U23 World Beach Volleyball Championships in Myslowice, Poland.
Pischke and partner Melissa Humana-Paredes from York University seeded 14th in the tournament and endured a second tie-break match to hold on to win the women’s bronze medal 2-1 (19-21, 21-15, and 16-14) against the Czech Republic.
Pischke and Humana-Paredes represented Canada at the championships in a field of 32 teams from across the world.
