Fight Fans Revving Up for UFC 161

UFC - Ultimate Fighting ChampionshipUFC 161 is just around the corner and fans are getting amped.

Four days of action-packed fun for the public are staged beginning Wednesday, leading up to the big event on Saturday, June 15 at MTS Centre.

Fans can enjoy UFC 161 open workouts, UFC autograph signings during half-time of the first-ever Winnipeg Blue Bombers game at Investors Group Field tomorrow, UFC 161 weigh-ins and a pre-fight block party featuring interactive activities, and guest appearances.

Open workouts will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Edmonton Court at Portage Place Mall with nine fighters from Saturday night’s card.

Later that night, fighters will attend the Winnipeg Blue Bombers pre-season game at Investors Group Field. Welterweight Jordan Mein, lightweight Mike Ricci and women’s bantamweight Sarah Kaufman will be on hand to sign autographs on the concourse during half-time.

On Friday, the official weigh-ins are scheduled at MTS Centre beginning at 4 p.m. for all 22 fighters. Doors will open to the public at 3 p.m. (free admission).
