A new 9.5 kilometre self-guided walking tour aims to show off Winnipeg’s historic, cultural, architectural, and modern day gems.
The Loop was launched Friday at The Forks and is a 3.5 hour circuit put together by Economic Development Winnipeg and Tourism Winnipeg.
The tour encompasses more than 50 destinations in and around the downtown area that can be enjoyed while on foot.
“We are thrilled to launch The Loop — a walk that provides visitors and residents the opportunity to discover Winnipeg’s vibrant urban areas,” said Marina James, president and CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg.
“Investing in your city’s distinct assets and improving walkability are the first steps in creating a higher quality of life and attracting new residents and jobs. We are proud to have contributed to a healthier, more walkable city by leading this major collaborative effort with other key stakeholders.”
