Tourism Winnipeg has launched a photography contest to garner the best experiential city shots.
The Capture Your Winnipeg 2013 photo contest asks participants to submit their photos online of how they see Winnipeg. A grand prize for the best shot is on the line, including a choice of tickets to the Winnipeg Jets’ season opening game or a performance by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, plus a one-night stay at The Fairmont Winnipeg and a $200 gift card to Don’s Photo.
“Strong images and photography play a huge role in selling a destination. We have so many distinctive neighbourhoods, festivals, shopping, dining and attractions for people to explore in our city, and the Capture Your Winnipeg photo contest is a chance to show the world what they can enjoy while here,” said Marina R. James, president and CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc.
Submissions will be accepted until September 30, 2013 at TourismWinnipeg.com.
