Two Men Killed in House Fire Near Elie

RCMP Crest LogoTwo men died in a house fire Saturday afternoon just east of Elie, Manitoba.

RCMP say the blaze broke out just before 1:30 p.m. on a rural property in the RM of Cartier.

The deceased have been identified as an adult male resident and an adult male relative.

RCMP and the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner are investigating.

UPDATE: Tuesday, June 18 — The deceased have been identified as the 85-year-old homeowner and his 73-year-old brother of Crossfield, Alberta. Their names will not be released.
