Two Charged After Bissett Quarry Shooting

RCMP Crest LogoTwo people are in police custody after a shooting at a rock quarry near Bissett, Manitoba last Friday.

RCMP say two men fired shots at a quarry employee as he fled into the bush at around 6:30 a.m. The victim wasn’t injured.

Later that day, police tracked down two suspects at their residences in Bissett. Six non-restricted firearms were seized, along with ammunition and other related items, including a truck believed to be used in committing the alleged shooting.

Michael John Shindruk, 32, and Kelly-Ross Gratton, 43, both of Bissett, are facing numerous charges, including attempted murder.

The victim and the two suspects are not known to each other.
